NCT’s echoV™ DAQ hardware provides 5th generation blade tip timing technology to our customers in a small, modular form factor. Each echoV™ module provides inputs for up to eight channels, plus reference 1/rev inputs for one or two rotors and time code inputs. Using a high speed network switch, multiple modules can be networked together to provide for large channel count requirements. The DAQ modules are designed to withstand the environments for your test installation, whether in the field near the test article and laser/detector sources (such as the NCT optoV™), or in the conditioned control/data room. Advances in signal auto-gain and percent peak trailing edge triggering allow for automated data collection.

Advanced Tip Timing Acquisition with echo⁺V™

Our echo⁺V™ has a built in signal processor for waveform analysis, wherein the waveform is completely digitized. This allows for automatic percent peak triggering and recording, requiring little to no operator input after the initial setup.

This system is ideal for long term system health monitoring, flight testing, or other applications wherein the operator has other responsibilities besides operating the blade tip timing system and you want to ensure the data is recorded accurately. Waveforms can be optionally recorded for later offline analysis. Both the echoV™ and echo⁺V™ provide 16 channels for low speed analog data (such as pressure, temperature, vibes) to be recorded synchronously with the tip timing data.
